Antalya is the most important tourism region of Turkey's Mediterranean coast. Surrounded by the historical city walls, the first settlement of the region, Kaleici is centrally located in the heart of the city. This area has undergone the renaissance in recent years and many of the wooden Ottoman mansions have been restored and converted into boutique hotels. You can enjoy the charming atmosphere of the old harbor as the cars are not allowed in the narrow streets of the old town. The symbol of Antalya is the Yivli Minaret built by the Seljuks in the 13th century. There are many interesting pieces from the Palaeolithic to the Ottoman period in the Archeology Museum.
Along with having a stunning mountain view of Antalya, most of the hotels are looking at the sea from the rocks in the skirts of the city. The beach area of Lara, about 12 km east, with golden color sand, is home to the most beautiful beach in the region. In the west, Konyaaltı's long pebble beach is also popular. You can make the most of the beautiful scenes by visiting the magnificent Duden or Kurshunlu waterfall rising to the mountains. You can ski in Saklıkent, where it snows on the slopes even at the beginning of April and is only 50 km away from the city center.
Within the borders of Antalya region, there are many holiday towns such as Alanya, Belek, Kalkan, Kaş, Kekova, Kemer, Olympos, Patara, Side.
