MOSTAFA ELBABA 1

1- WEILL CORNELL MEDICAL COLLEGE QATAR

Introduction:

Recently many medications are rushed in the medical market to modulate the human immunity under the name of monoclonal antibody (mAb). The use of mAb in pediatric nephrology specialty shows also a great portion as new guns to treat difficult nephropathy. There are no data yet to reflect the future effects of that immunomodulation. The author reviewed mAb currently experimentally tried or clinically used in children with kidney disorders. The effectiveness, efficacy and safety of each of those medications are highlighted. The methods of administrations and clinical implementation were also discussed.

Material and methods:

Systematic review of the articles delivered from the web search in Medline and Google scholar were conducted as well as many other sporadic resources mainly pharmaceutical publications were included. Although the review focuses of the children, adult articles were included for any comparison or confounders.

Results:

Results are not completed and still under process

Conclusions:

The primary conclusion shows that most of mAb medications have promising outcome compared to their adverse effects. The long-term future effects are not clear and the clinical use is still limited worldwide.
